Those series of tests systematically check our semantics of the clflush and clflushopt instructions. Our semantics of the clflush instruction matches the tested implementations perfectly; while the semantics of the clflushopt instruction is weaker than the tested implementations (series 05, 06 and 07).
Notice that the clflush instruction takes an address2 as argument. Test names reflect that address: clflush refers to the variable accessed by the previous instruction clflushnext refers to the variable accessed by the next instruction, while clflushother refers to an arbitrary variable, different from all variables accessed by the test.
In the following, we have preserved the original, heuristic, organisation of those tests, which we shall not detail.
